Lemons offer a variety of health benefits due to their nutritional content and natural properties. Here are some of the potential benefits of lemons:

Health benefits of lemons:

Rich in Vitamin C: Lemons are an excellent source of vitamin C, an antioxidant that helps boost the immune system, protect against cardiovascular disease, and promote healthy skin.

Aids Digestion: The citric acid in lemons may help improve digestion by increasing the production of digestive juices. Drinking warm lemon water in the morning is a common practice to stimulate digestion.

Alkalizing Effect: Despite their acidic taste, lemons have an alkalizing effect on the body, which may help balance pH levels.

Hydration: Lemons are a good source of water and electrolytes, helping to keep the body hydrated.

Weight Management: Some people use lemon water as part of a weight loss regimen. While lemon water itself won’t cause significant weight loss, it can be a low-calorie alternative to sugary beverages.

Skin Health: The vitamin C and antioxidants in lemons contribute to healthier skin by promoting collagen production and reducing oxidative stress.

Kidney Stone Prevention: The citric acid in lemons may help prevent the formation of kidney stones by increasing urinary citrate levels.

Anti-Inflammatory: Lemon contains compounds with anti-inflammatory properties, which may be beneficial in reducing inflammation in the body.

Fresh Breath: Lemon’s natural acidity can help combat bad breath. This is why lemon is often used in natural remedies for oral hygiene.

Supports Heart Health: The high vitamin C content and flavonoids in lemons may contribute to cardiovascular health by reducing the risk of heart disease.

Antibacterial Properties: The citric acid in lemons has natural antibacterial and antiviral properties, which may help in fighting infections.

It’s important to note that while lemons offer numerous potential health benefits, they should be consumed as part of a balanced diet, and individual responses can vary. Additionally, excessive consumption of acidic foods, including lemons, may cause dental enamel erosion. As always, it’s advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for personalised advice on your diet and health.

The magic begins with the careful selection of ingredients. Start with boneless, skinless chicken pieces, providing a canvas for the explosion of flavours to come. A cup of all-purpose flour, seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper, serves as the coating for the chicken, creating a golden and crispy exterior when cooked.

So, the ingredients required to make this recipe are as follows:

Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken (500 gm)
  • Salt as needed
  • I cup flour (to coat the chicken)
  • Red chilli powder
  • Turmeric powder

  • 2 onions (chopped)
  • 2 green chillies (slit)
  • A pinch of sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • A handful of mint leaves or celery
  • 1 tsp lemon zest

Instructions:

How to marinate the chicken:

At first, you need to cut the boneless chicken into small cubes and wash them well. Then drain the water and put the chicken in a large bowl. Next, coat the chicken cubes with flour, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, soya sauce, lemon juice and salt and keep it marinated for at least an hour.

How to cook the chicken:

Heat a frying pan and add 2 tbsp refined oil to it. Add chopped ginger and chopped garlic, chopped onions, slit green chillies. Add the marinated chicken cubes. Add salt to taste. Cook properly. Flip over the chicken to fry the other side of it. Pour 1 tsp soya sauce, cook and stir. Add a pinch of sugar and 1 tsp black pepper. Regulate the flame to medium.
